In the modern age, the city is often referred to as the "Forest of Concrete and Steels" for the density of its array of buildings and the cold, stiffed impression of its appearance. While a society's booming can certainly be shown by its superb ability to fund and construct stunning modern buildings, the eco-friendly aspect of a city is essential but often neglected. The lack of distinction of city components and the suffocating and "unnatural" feeling it brings makes people feel insignificant and lost among those lifeless skyscrapers.

Thinking about the city not only as a functional space for the development of all societal aspects, but also a dynamic environment which people not only live into but also live "with", this design aims to bring back the life to buildings to answer the inner need of city residents for a more vivid living environment.

With tree animation created with Blender, the design later combined with elements such as Chinese lion sculpture and lotus to put light on the cultural significance of the landmark architecture.

The project was exhibited at NYU Shanghai Spring 2020 IMA Show, and was displayed on White Mongolia Facade for five months. View this for press coverage of the project.
